Sagripanti Architecture provides specialty design and consulting services for the design of new buildings, restoration and historic preservation.
Our design practice, based in Italy, is guided by four key principles: Collaboration, Commitment, Innovation and Value.
Since its birth in the 1980s, the professional development of the studio has grown quickly, gaining expertise in residential projects, hotelier and commercial spaces, schools for children and interior design.
Our primary focus is contemporary residential houses and the restoration of ancient historical villas in the Italian countryside.
The services offered by our studio involve the following planning phases: concept, feasibility study, master plan, preliminary design, final design, executive planning, and construction supervision.
We collaborate closely with our clients, expert consultants, and specialists from a wide range of fields to design and realize innovative projects at multiple scales: architecture, urbanism, interiors.
The studio method aims at combining local identity and technological innovation while keeping the focus on the particular needs of the client.
The creative approach underlines the desire to obtain inspiration that are derived from the context, through continuous research in technology and a marked sensitivity to environmental issues, in order to promote sustainable, high performance architecture and the use of renewable energy sources.
This approach takes into consideration building orientation, daylighting, and generation of wind /solar power, and represents a fundamental change in the design process; in which form facilitates performance.

IRENE SAGRIPANTI
Irene Sagripanti received a Degree in Architecture on July 2005 from the University of Florence in Italy (110/110 summa cum laude) and has been a licensed architect in Italy since January 2006 (Ordine degli Architetti di Fermo).
In April 2006 she moved to Chicago (USA) to work as an architect at Eifler and Associates. In Chicago her primary responsibilities included the design of contemporary villas and several restoration projects designed by the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright , including Tanyderi, (at Taliesin East Spring Green, Wisconsin, USA).
She also collaborated with the Italian architectural magazine “Costruire in laterizio”, writing articles concerning American architecture.
In June 2008 won first prize, on a competition for the design of a nursery school in Prato,Italy “Go Civic, New schools for the city of cultures”. with Andrea Stipa (team leader) and Valerio Paolo Mosco
She return to Italy and became partner at Sagripanti Architecture and Planning in the fall of 2009 and has been working between Italy and USA collaborating with Eifler and Associates on restoration and new design projects, concentrating on energy efficiency and sustainability in architecture.
In Italy, she continued the architectural research she started in the USA, concerning the applications of innovative technological solutions, and enhancing the design of “nzeb” near zero energy buildings.The projects, characterized by high energy efficiency and a deep functional and aesthetic researches, are designed studying all the details from the big to the small scale, to create an architecture characterized by great functionality and performance.
